The Calahonda Lions held its 20th annual walk at the end of October.
It was a beautiful 12 km walk through the hills to the south of Ojén on a dry but slightly overcast Sunday morning.
Over 2,000 euros was raised and donated to Crece, a Marbella association that educates disabled children of the town.
The money was used to buy much need physiotherapy equipment, and anyone able to help in any way with for example older but still good equipment, please contact the Calahonda Lions.
The Calahonda Lions would like to thank those who walked and all of those who sponsored them and F.I.S.E.M. who sponsored the delicious tapas and drinks at the end of the walk, just as the heavens opened, so it was all timed to perfection.
The Calahonda Lions are always looking for new members and if you would like to find out what it is all about, the members meet the first Monday of every month at 8.15pm at Club del Sol in Calahonda.
