Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva, Indian Lunch
Age Concern runs events to raise money for the charity, this goes towards supporting the volunteers who work in the community with older people. But not all events are arranged to raise money. Lunches are organised throughout the year to enable supporters and Friends of Age Concern to come together with volunteers and enjoy good food with great conversation.
One was held recently at the Mumbai Masala restaurant in Estepona port. Forty-four people attended and tucked into typical Indian fayre, it was excellent. Often at these events new volunteers come forward or new Friends are signed up. The charity is always looking for people who have a few hours to spare and would like to offer that time to helping others. Volunteering is very rewarding both to the individual and to the person being helped.
If you would like to help us please call 608458555 and chat to Eileen, or pop into the shop during opening hours.
