Age Concern Sponsored Walk

Thirty intrepid walkers strode out on Sunday May 2nd to raise much needed funds for Age Concern. Walkers had a choice of a short or long walk – the latter going up to the castillo del nicio where wonderful views of the Costa del Sol and inland mountains awaited.

The walk realised 1000€ to support the Age Concern volunteers working with older people in the community.

IBEX insurance sponsored the walk and Age Concern is extremely grateful to them and their walkers. Thanks also go to Richard and Julie who organised the event as well as to all who walked.

Age Concern Garden Party

There is still time for you to get your tickets for the Age Concern Espana Spring Garden Party being held at the Sohail Castle, Fuengirola from 18.00 to 21.00 on May 27th.

The British Ambassador to Spain, Giles Paxman, will be in attendance along with other leading officials and local personalities. Drinks and tapas will be available as well as music and a grand raffle. Tickets to the event cost 15€ and are available through a ticket hotline – 952561245.

For elderly people who require help or advice Age Concern operate a telephone service called Lifeline. This gives the individual a direct point of contact with the charity.
