Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva Press Release – 13th February 2011
Age Concern – Shop
Age Concern’s charity shop is situated in Calle Zaragoza, Estepona and is open from 10.00 to 13.30 Monday to Saturday. The shop sells quality items of clothing and bric-a-brac and is staffed each day by a happy band of volunteers under the direction of a Duty Manager.
Since the Drop-In-Centre opened the Age Concern office has moved from the shop to the Centre and has retained the telephone number of 951318234 for people who want help, advice and information. The shop has a new number of 608587538 for all enquiries relating to shop matters and disability equipment. So, for example, for the collection of a donation of goods that is now the number to call.
The shop is in urgent need of bric-a-brac and household items, so please turn out those unwanted items that never see the light of day and donate them to Age Concern to help raise funds to support the activities of our volunteers working with older people in the community.
Age Concern – Sponsored Knit
Have you sponsored Age Concern’s Knit-A|-Thon yet? If not why not pop into the shop and guess the number of squares (38 stitches by 38 rows) that can be knitted in 24 hours by at least two knitters (they change every 2 hours)? The event takes place at our Drop-In-Centre at 25, Calle Zaragoza, Estepona from noon on Friday 4th March to noon on Saturday 5th March. There is a prize of 50€ for the person whose estimate is closest to the actual number.
