If you’re looking for a way to meet new people, make friends while you visit local sites or experience a little more of the community in which we live, then the International Club of Salobreña could be for you! Meeting on Wednesdays throughout the year (with a short summer/Christmas break), the Club has a variety of activities including things like: visits to places of local/historical interest, petanca on the beach, walks in the countryside, day coach trips to areas further a field or talks by members on a variety of topics.

And in between these excursions we have social meetings where you can just have a cup of coffee and a chat or perhaps exchange a book or two – reviews not necessary!

The International Club, although mostly British, has members from a wide range of countries from Australia to America, from Sweden to Poland and a good many countries in between. And although the name says ‘of Salobrena’ our members live – both full and part-time – from Motril to La Herradura and the Lecrin Valley/Alpujarras to the Coast.

Subscriptions are just €10 per person per calendar year and if you join now, will be half price to the end of the year. The Club’s first meeting after the summer break will be on Wednesday, 17 September at Hotel Salobreña at 11am (signs in the Hotel will direct you to where we’ll be: most likely outside on the terrace). Everyone is welcome!

For more information you can email specific questions to:, visit the Club website at: or call Arlene on 666 76 34 78.
