The Achievers, the Marbella chapter of Toastmasters International, are holding a special debate on Wednesday the 30th July.

Two debating parties will battle it out over a controversial motion: namely that in every household, there should never be more than one car!
Could this be the solution to climate change, oil prices and tailbacks on the N 340 - or is this just another crackpot, nanny-state idea? Tempers are set to rise when the debators get their teeth into this particular motion.

The debates at Toastmasters are based on the format of Debating Societies: there are Proposers, Opposers, Seconders and a floor debate, where you can make your views heard and rip the opposition to pieces. At the end, there will be a vote based on which side performed best. Drinks and snacks are available afterwards.
