At 4.30am on Sunday morning last week I was awake and heard what I thought to be the sound of an aeroplane flying overhead, I soon began to have second thoughts as the sound did not move away. It then stopped and maybe a minute later started up again. The sound was so loud, I looked out of my bedroom window and could see orange/red lights moving in the sky. I then alerted my husband and we went out on to the roof terrace and during the next 15 minutes watched these lights moving in the sky. They moved from one direction to the other, hovered in one position for a time, and eventually moved off in the direction of Estepona and went out of sight, but just a few minutes later we heard the noise again, and the lights came back into sight. Did anyone else witness this? I would be really grateful if anyone could come up with an explanation of what this could be. I have never believed in UFOs but after seeing this, I just don't know. A friend also heard the noise, but didn't investigate. My big regret is that we didn't get any photo evidence.

I think you may find it is to do with solar activity. A solar flare hitting the earths atmosphere could cause this effect. Check the web for any news relating to the suns current activity. Stay safe.
